Connection Church


Our Children’s department exists as a supplement to the family through supporting and teaching fundamental Biblical truths in a contemporary way. 

 

We endeavor to be a place where children can:

  • Connect to the Awesome God
  • Connect to Best Friends
  • Connect to Caring Service

Our goal is that this time would be the best hour in a child’s week! 

 

Each ministry is a stepping stone in laying the foundation for a child to become a connected follower of Jesus Christ.  In fact, everything that happens at Connection Church for children is done to reach our mission and vision of connecting Kids to Christ.  

 

Birth through age 4

 We offer a safe and structured environment for our younger children.


Creation Station: 

Our youngest children are in a nurturing setting with loving teachers and care-givers.  From the time our children are checked-in, the  safety and security of our “little ones” is evident.  Parents are given an alpha-numeric pager just in case there is a need to contact them. Even at this early age, our children are introduced to the love of Jesus through music, videos, and learning experiences geared especially for them.  We have a nursing mother’s room with a monitor so that moms can still see the service. 

Creation Station is open for both services on Sunday and Wednesday night as well.

 

Building Blocks:

Our 3 and 4-year-old children have a wonderful time in their themed rooms.  They have a unique curriculum that is geared to their age group, make some very special crafts, and have some time in our indoor playscape.  Building Blocks meets during both Sunday morning services.  On Wednesday nights, we feature our Rainbow program.  It’s here that children learn more about the Lord and even begin to learn Bible verses. 


   
K-5th Grade
Our Sunday services are multi-media and fast paced and includes a time of worship, dramas, and a small group experience where children can learn and explore in a non-threatening atmosphere.  There are many opportunities for the children to serve in areas such as: Kids Worship Team,  Greeters,  JBQ (Junior Bible Quiz),  Room Helpers, Outreach opportunities and many other areas.
   

Mpact

Missionettes (Mpact) is our ministry to girls that meets on Wednesday evenings, September through July.

            *    Rainbows                  3 & 4 year olds (boys and girls)

            *    Daisies                      Kindergarten girls

            *    Prims                        1st and 2nd grade girls

            *    Stars                         3rd, 4th, & 5th grade girls

            *    Friends                      6th grade girls

Missionettes have suggested uniforms [not mandatory] and a structured lesson plan that offers badges and achievement awards, but also is inviting for visitors and friends.  On any given Wednesday evening you will find dozens of girls enjoying important Godly principles and life lessons.


There are three annual events that Missionettes like to participate in:

  • September Sleepover (Held on the church property)
  • Great Escape – for classes up to Prims (Held at Fa-Ho-Lo Camp)
  • Powette – for stars and Friends (Also held at Fa-Ho-Lo). 

 

Royal Rangers


Royal Rangers is an exciting opportunity for boys and young men to discover a personal relationship with God.  The Royal Ranger Ministry utilizes both fun and accomplishment in ministering to boys each week.  It features indoor and outdoor activities including camping, recreation, first aid, crafts, hobby skills, nature study, Bible study and much more.

 

Royal Ranger clubs are:

 

Ranger Kids - Kindergarten -1st and 2nd Grade

Discovery Rangers - 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade

Adventure Rangers – 6th, 7th and 8th Grade
